REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF - news) announced today the election of Archie M. Griffin, Associate Director of Athletics, The Ohio State University, to the Company's Board of Directors.
Mr. Griffin, 45, has been the associate athletic director at Ohio State since 1994. His responsibilities include oversight of the management and financial performance of seventeen sports at Ohio State. Prior to that, he spent over nine years in various positions within the athletic and employment services departments at Ohio State.
Prior to his employment at Ohio State, Mr. Griffin spent eight years as a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League. He is the only two-time winner of the Heisman Award, recognizing the outstanding college football player in the country.
Mr. Griffin holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Ohio State University. Mr. Griffin also serves on the boards of the following organizations: Archie Griffin Scholarship Fund, Archie and Bonita Griffin Foundation Fund, Central Ohio Breathing Association, Columbus Youth Foundation, Ernie Godfrey Chapter, National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame, Motorists Mutual Insurance Company, The Lakes Golf and Country Club, and Frontier Broadcasting & Management.
