Abercrombie & Fitch Reports February Sales

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) today reported net sales of $78.6 million for the four-week period ended March 3, 2001, a 43% increase over last year's net sales of $55 million for February. Comparable store sales increased 6% for the four-week period compared with last year's comparable four-week period ending March 4, 2000.

A lifestyle brand, Abercrombie & Fitch operated a total of 354 stores at the end of February, including 84 abercrombie stores and five Hollister Co. stores. The Company also operates a kids' e-commerce website at www.abercrombiekids.com , an adult e-commerce website at www.abercrombie.com and publishes the A&F Quarterly.
