Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Launches New Corporate Website

NEW ALBANY, Ohio, March 26, 2018 - Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE: ANF) today announced the launch of a new corporate website. The website is designed to provide all its stakeholders, including customers, employees, investors and partners, with a more complete picture of the company's performance, including activities in support of its commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and meaningful contributor in the many communities around the world in which the company operates.

The new corporate website highlights Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s strong commitment to upholding human and labor rights, its determination to build systems that respect and protect the environment, its success in building a diverse and inclusive culture, and its philanthropic contributions to local, national, and global communities.

A commitment to social and environmental sustainability; protecting and improving human and labor rights and a strong commitment to environmental stewardship

  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co. partners with many stakeholders worldwide to help improve factory conditions in its vendors' factories; this includes the company's work since 2013 as part of The Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh, which the company was one of the first major U.S. companies to join.
  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has partnered with the HERproject since 2008. Together, they have brought health education and training programs to improve awareness of reproductive health issues and access to health services to more than 18,000 female workers in Vietnam, India, China and Bangladesh.
  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co. has partnered with Room to Read since 2008, with an impact on more than 15,000 children in Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and Cambodia.
  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co. manages its energy use more efficiently and cost-effectively by focusing on reducing energy consumption, as well as its carbon footprint. The company utilizes the Carbon Disclosure Project to provide insight to current usage, as well as identify areas of possible change and improvement.
  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co. had LED lights retrofitted in 489 stores in 20 different countries in 2016, leading to savings of over 30,000,000 kWh/year – or the amount of electricity needed to power over 2,400 homes a year.
  • The company is committed to tracing fibers and fabrics throughout its supply chain and has policies and processes in place to ensure its raw materials are being sourced responsibly.

A diverse and inclusive culture

  • Abercrombie & Fitch Co. was one of 30 companies to receive a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking tool for LGBTQ workplace equality. This is the 12th consecutive year the company has received a 100% rating.
  • The company has a commitment to supporting and celebrating diversity, in all aspects of its business, grounded in its belief that diversity makes it stronger. Specifically:
    • More than 60% of its approximately 28,000 U.S. associates identify as a person of color;
    • More than 40% of the organization at vice president level and above is female; and
    • 40% of the company's board of directors is female.

 A strong culture of philanthropy and community engagement

  • In 2017, along with its customers and partners, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. raised more than $6M for charitable causes and its associates donated more than 31,000 volunteer hours to organizations around the world.
